Louvre Museum

The Louvre is one of the world’s largest art museums & attractions in Paris and is a must visit for any art lover. The first time we saw the Louvre was at night. The Louvre Pyramid in itself a glorious sight to see and it’s easy to forget that this art attraction hosts some of the renowned paintings in the world including the infamous Mona Lisa.

  • Louvre Museum is usually crowded and you might even need to spend half to one hour to get the tickets. Buying tickets online would help you skip the line.

The Musee d’Orsay


The former rail station includes work by some of the most renowned artists of the 18th -19th century  and includes works by Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, and Renoir. One of the top 10 most visited museums in the world; this is a must see for any art lover.

Musee de l’Orangerie

A weekend trip does not allow for too many museums & attractions but the Musee de l’Orangerie is a great place to visit in Paris, when combined with a walk from the Louvre  across the infamous Tuileries Garden. Located at the other end of the Tuileries Gardens’ this former greenhouse is home to Claude Monets’ ‘Water Lilies’ murals. It’s the perfect way to combine a walk with a beautiful stop.

The walk through the Champs Elysees ending in the Arc de Triomphe is a must-do if you are looking at a sunny day. The Champs Elysees is auto free so is an excellent walk way and the Arc de Triomphe is an imposing one of a kind memorial. Together they encompass everything that Paris stands for; luxury, history and grandeur. Make sure to relax at a café on the way and if the lines are tolerable the trip to the top of Arc de Triomphe is definitely worth it.

Sacre Coeur and Montmartre

The Sacre Cœur Basillica is a must-see if you love to visit historic and imposing monuments. But the trip to this hill is well worth it as it also gives you the chance to explore Montmartre. This beautiful neighbourhood has a painters square ‘Place du Tertre’ where local artists display their works of art. Disney Paris


Disney is always a good idea and Disney Paris is the best attraction to discover your favourite Disney characters and some serious roller coasters. The park is not as big as the ones in California or Florida. Thus, you can discover it in a day. But, it’s always nice to stay overnight and spend a couple of days taking your time with the whole park. Budget tip: instead of staying inside the park, which can be expensive, explore campsites outside the park. There are some beautiful countryside locations which gives you the options of maybe going for bike rides or picnics as well.
