Try the food

Spanish Tapas
Spanish Tapas

If you haven’t tried Spanish Tapas late in the evening (Spaniards like to eat late); then Barcelona is the place to do it.  Food is cheap and there are plenty of options both within the city and in the outskirts. Make sure to take time out one evening, get some fun travel companions and enjoy some Sangria and Tapas.

Relax at the beaches of Barcelona

Barcelona is known for its well-known beaches and if the weather calls for it; it is a must visit to relax and unwind.

  • La Barcelonata: Though this is one of the most popular and touristic beaches; it is a must visit not only for the beach but also for the many famous seaside restaurants and cafes. It is a must visit for anyone who is visiting Barcelona for the first time and is staying only for the weekend.
  • Platja Nova Icaria: From the most busiest; we go to one of the calmest beaches which is Platja Nova Icaria. This is the perfect beach for families as it not only has a wide range of restaurants but also has a game area with facilities to play ping pong, volley ball etc. making sure you have a complete beach experience.

The cruise ship days are marked red Amber and green….green being the days when none are dropping off. On a red day there is approx. 4000 so best to avoid. We did find it quite a bit more expensive to eat and drink in Dubrovnik as you would expect in a major tourist place but there is a much wider choice of shopping. Cavtat is much more relaxed and traditional with the odd celebrity pulling up in their boats for that very reason.
